Is it, persay, acceptable to colour in the huge scuff marks on one’s black work shoes with a black pen or marker?

It worked for me at school.

Yes. Black nail polish also works a treat. Hey we are in an economic crisis!

DT: I never thought of nailpolish, that is much better, it looks shiny and is waterproof too!

If it worked back then, it will still work today. Black felt tip pens are timeless…

Seems perfectly acceptable to me too.

I do it! i also draw on my non-black shoes, so I'm probably the wrong person to listen to on this one!

Ok it's done. My shoes look as good as new. For now. They only cost £4 anyway, so I think marker suits them well. Until it washes off.

Black shoe polish works just as well – maybe cause that is partly what it is there for. My bf used it to sort my shoes out :)

aha but midnite gem, that is what I was trying to avoid, the tedium of polishing shoes! And I would have to buy some. Actually I think my shoes are too badly damaged for polish to fix anyway. They are real cheapos.

LOL — ahhh but you see this is why i have a bf that has black shoe polish in his drawer and I make him polish them :) actually i couldnt stop him from attacking them with the polish and of course then had to get shoe polish to the underside of my foot too!!

    Use tar. It lasts longer.

midnite gem: damn my BFG is not nearly as handy as yours, maybe we could do a trade?6000: I have a feeling if I tried to tar my shoe I would end up a) covered from head to foot in tar andb) attached permanently to something or other via tar.Glad to hear there are other people out there who engage in such deviant behaviour

I used my thick black koki pen all the time for scuff marks. This daft scots lass (now living in Johannesburg SA) is very hard on all her shoes. I'm the kinda gal who wears one pair of favourite works shoes until they fall apart. I don't believe in spending a fortune on kewt work shoes…who sees them anyway???THROUGHLY ENJOYING YOUR BLOG!
